Co-Owner, BCAK Registered Kinesiologist, & future RMT

I never used to like lifting weights. It was too much work. Getting in shape during PE class was too much work, with all the sprints and conditioning and what not. I’d much rather play basketball for hours on end. I never truly realized why it was so important to be strong and well conditioned until I was trying out for the Capilano Men's University Basketball team. Basketball is my passion, and I thought I’d go a long way with just my skills. Everyone at tryouts were bigger, stronger, faster, quicker, and more skilled than me. I got pushed around quite easily which made me regret all those PE classes where I didn’t work hard. I didn’t invest in my body and it cost me.

Fast forward 10 years later, where all I do is invest in my body and I preach it to my clients and everyone around me to do the same every day. I decided to do this as a career because I wanted to know how to train optimally to increase overall performance (whether for a specific sport, or in general), conditioning, health, while staying injury-free.

I was born and raised in the Philippines, then relocated to North Vancouver in 2003. I then attended the University of Saskatchewan to complete my Kinesiology degree before coming back home to North Vancouver. I work with a variety of clients who all have different goals. Whether it’s coming back from an injury, lose fat, build muscle, or get stronger, faster, jump higher, I’m your guy! Movement truly is medicine and my goal is educate, guide, and inspire everyone to move more and invest in themselves!

When I’m not lifting weights, I’m most likely shooting hoops somewhere or I’m home playing with our dog Piper or watching FRIENDS. I also like to spend time with my friends and family indulging in different foods. In the summer I love hiking and going for bike rides in Stanley Park! I’m not into winter sports just yet but the time will come… I think. My go-to healthy meal consists of chicken breasts with rice and sautéed vegetables! My go-to “cheat meal” would be a Five Guys burger, along with some pizza, and maybe some sushi then top it off with some Earnest Ice Cream. It’s all about balance!

Currenly, I am completing school to become a Registered Massage Therapist at VCMT! I will be able to provide massage treatments in Fall 2024! Stay tuned!
